I strongly oppose the removal of the requirement for a comprehensive Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed landfill and recycling facility at Irish School Road near Dresden. The proposed operation would bring an estimated 700 trucks per day to a small rural area that is not equipped to handle this volume of heavy traffic. This creates a serious risk to road safety, air quality, and noise pollution for residents, farmers, and local schoolchildren. Dresden’s roads and infrastructure were never intended for industrial-level transport, and a project of this scale requires careful study of transportation impacts—something only a full EA can provide. Skipping this step is irresponsible and dangerous.
