Chatham-Kent and Dresden…

Chatham-Kent and Dresden have historically supported the Progressive Conservative Party, and many of us voted for Doug Ford and Steve Pinsonneault based on promises of local control and respect for rural communities. If the government now overrides our municipality and removes the Environmental Assessment requirement—after promising the municipality would have final say—it will feel like a betrayal. This decision has the potential to erode long-standing trust and support for the PC Party in this region. I am a card carrying member of the Ontario PC party, and I will not be continuing with my support if this moves forward.
