To whom it may concern
We wish to ask that a full environment assessment be done on the proposed dump in the town of Dresden. There are many reasons to perform a full environmental assessment
1. 700 trucks running by both the elementary and secondary school daily
2. Molly creek is beside this dump and flows into the Sydenham River and out to St Clair River via the town of Wallaceburg and First Nations Walpole Island
3. Endangered species like the mussel and mudpuppy are only found in the sydenham River
4. Air quality will be fatal with the asbestos floating everywhere We live in a basin formation that holds the fog and smog in the area
5. The location can grow vegetables as the area is number one for tomatoes ,peas, green beans, pumpkins, Brussel sprouts, sweet corn, peppers, jalapeños, cucumbers, onions, squash, parsnips, etc
6. It is only 800 meters from our town line and within 3 km from our school
7. Our water underground is shallow and any seepage would easily get into the watershed
8. We have many natural gas deposits in the area and adding methane gas to the situation would make it a very unstable situation
9. The odour itself would cause the whole town to have health problems
10. Our roads cannot handle the heavy vehicles as the area is mainly sandy loam and shifting is common for the pavement
11. Real estate would go down in price for the whole town
12. Town population would decrease as people would move away from the dump in their town
13. Agriculture land base for growing food would be permanently depleted from the area
