To whom this may concern,

Giving the government power to determine which parcels of land would best suit their interest quickly without the input of a community is wrong. This government only cares what brings in the money without worrying how a community will be impacted if they deem a parcel of land suitable for their needs such as a landfill being established in a small town. The government should not have the power to designate zones without the input of citizens within a community, especially if a project will not only change a communities landscape but will impact how a community functions, their infrastructure, health etc. Building faster doesn’t ensure long term prosperity for a communities economy, building faster means mistakes will be made that will impact the future of communities for decades to come. I am opposed to the Special Economic Zone Act, 2025.
