Being a long time citizen of the chatham-kent area and seeing how beautiful and quaint the town of Dresden is, makes me completely apalled at this legislation that Ford thinks he can just push onto the residents there. Maybe he should spend a month or two living downwind of the dump in london that you cant help but smell when passing by on the 401. Im sure the farms that were there and well established before it was put in were apalled as well. Lets all face it even driving by on the 401 we hold our breath and try not to gag. A dumping site that close to a small community is totally unfair. It will do unspeakable things to the community, the environment and the residents who live in that area. Maybe Ford should put a dump in his backyard since he thinks it's okay to reduce people's land value and quality of life. This disgusts me and I am apalled that someone can just bully their way and put through legislation and nothing can stop this?? . What's wrong with our systems these days?!? If it happens I sincerely hope everyone affected sues for damages, it will affect air quality, water contamination and people's health not to mention what it will do to wildlife and vegetation in the area. This is absolutely disgusting.
