The Cormorant population on Balsam Lake has exploded in recent years. I have been on the lake for over 60 years. From seeing none at all years ago to a population reaching epidemic proportions something must be done. Our fishing is a waste of time as these birds have devastated the fish population. Balsam used to be a great fishing lake. They have destroyed an island and will soon move on to the next island. These awful birds need to be held in check. We need to act now. Rob
