This is an excellent idea. Clearly the evidence shows cormorants have become a major stressor to game fish populations such as perch and other panfish. They have become very destructive to shoreline habitat. Although populations may have stabilized, they have at very high levels. Populations surges during large recruitment years with few natural predators could put us back to where we were during peak populations. This would allow population management in areas most effected.
