Water bottling takes…

Water bottling takes groundwater out of our watersheds and our Ontario government needs to ensure this is stopped to ensure a future water supply for our province's citizens. It is an unsustainable trend that needs to be completely phased out. Municipalities have very good water and the use of tap water should be promoted by the province of Ontario to encourage citizens to use tap water instead of bottled groundwater. It is very scary and concerning that our future might not have a good water supply because millions of litres of our groundwater is taken away by being bottled and sold (requiring citizens to pay a high price for their own water!). The government of Ontario needs to take action (now) on preserving our water supply for our children and other future generations of Ontarians by not allowing any more water bottling permits and phasing out the bottled water industry within the next 10 years.
