As an avid hunter and angler in the Nipissing region, which has seen cormorant populations increase recently, I find this proposal disgusting. If scientific evidence supports the need to decrease the population then cull them systematically- hunting will have very little impact on population size. And the changes to allow hunters to let the meat spoil are even worse. If you shoot something, you eat it.
