I oppose bill 5. It makes no sense to call it “economic zones” because once a developed area starts to flood consistently because there were no restrictions or environmental degradation reviews with the public, it will actually be more economically costly. This is just one example. Environmental laws and restrictions are put in place to sustain our environments, FOR THE BETTERMENT OF HUMANS. They arnt there just to protect the environment and other animals and trees. It’s actually quite literally for the betterment of human lives. Environmental protection is anthropocentric, and conservatives don’t understand this. They think “tree huggers” just want to protect animals and trees. When in reality most environmental laws and protections/ regulations serve human interests much more.
