In a democracy, the people should also be consultant on matters of thier environment. By trying to bypass this, the opportunity for mis-use and exploitation is greatly increased.
As well as endangering our 'land's for future generations. We already have threatened to abolish farm land that could be used to feed our citizens. It is a finite resources that should not be dismissed for some shortsighted plan
