In my opinion, removing the requirement for a full environmental assessment is detrimental to the people of the town Dresden. The road infrastructure is not made to handle the constant truck traffic. As well, the truck traffic is a hazard to our children walking to and from school, to friends houses and to local playgrounds. Also, this facility will be less than 1 km from my home, creating noise issues, odour issues and devaluing my house value. This will discourage people from moving to our town, and hurt our local businesses.

Premier Ford has often stated that he is a man of his word, also going so far as to state publicly that if the people of Dresden don’t want the dump, they shouldn’t get it. Is Premier Ford truly a man of his word?
