I oppose Bill 5.
I want strong environmental protections and the protection of endangered species, not weaker regulations that benefit industry at the expense of our shared future.
I oppose allowing developers to bypass laws in so-called Special Economic Zones. Overriding municipal, provincial, and environmental rules undermines democracy, public safety, and community planning.
This bill threatens biodiversity, weakens oversight, and silences Indigenous voices, breaking commitments to truth, reconciliation, and environmental stewardship.
We need stronger protections for our ecosystems and species at risk, not fewer. I urge the government to withdraw this proposal.
