I oppose Bill 5.

I oppose the commencement of activity prior to permitting, where proponents need only register. Putting the onus of responsibility in the hands of the proponents, to know/understand and adhere to all regulations, allows for exceptional margins of error. Permitting prior to commencement of work is essential to ensure protections are upheld responsibly.

I oppose these short cuts for industry.
