Absolutely baffling to think about a government winning two terms without a majority voter turnout at all and being able to attempt to steam roll policies that basically ensure public dialogue and demand is censored and dismissed, especially around environmental rights for the land, humans and non humans. This is anti-democratic at its core and inconsiderate of the lands that we have settled on and all they provide for us. Bad policy like this will only inevitably lead to poor waste management, endangered species increase, ecosystem disruption and destruction, and the inevitable collapse of ontarios ability to be self reliant through its dependency on the land. The only people who benefit from these overhauls and decisions are the ones who make money off of them….the rest of us, with our tax dollars going towards automotive manufacturing and the bureaucracy of punishment that’s replacing social infrastructure, will be left to suffer or become criminalized under these insistences.
