Do not pass this. Putting endangered species that makes our province great more at risk is absolutely appalling and does not reflect how we should approach “development”. I am continuously disgusted by how the Ford government puts his friends and buildings before the people and the land we live on. As someone who ended back up in my hometown with my spouse we used to talk about having kids here but these kinds of reckless changes puts everyone at risk and is not the kind of world we’d want children to grow up in. The fact that the proposal summary complains about a process being “too complicated” shows that your staff are not educated enough to complete administrative work and need to be reassigned. There is already a wildlife problem coming into the current cities because the urban has swallowed up too much of the rural and this will only exacerbate a problem. We will be wasting money on healthcare for every person that will need to be getting antibiotics for all their tick bites from Ontario’s contribution to the climate crisis. Stop trying to be the next USA this proposal looks exactly like something Trump has passed for their national parks- we can be better than that and our province should be representing better for Canada.
