The proposed location is totally inappropriate for this type of facility. It would be less than 1 km from the town of Dresden. The pre agreed environmental assessment should be fully and properly completed. Valuable farmland would be used and destroyed. The entire Sydenham watershed area could be adversely affected. Roads and infrastructure in Chatham Kent are not designed to handle the increased heavy truck traffic. The town of Dresden would suffer economic decline .Do you want to live in close proximity to a dump? The list goes on….. The provincial government wants to fast track this project. This is not like issuing a simple building permit- the health and welfare of people and the environment should be paramount.
