We are in a biodiversity crisis!
Over 230 plants and animals are at risk in Ontario alone. Our at risk healthy forests, waters and wetlands species rely on all us Ontarians.
Bill 5 and plans to scrap the Endangered Species Act or implement “regulation-free zones” for resource extraction need to be cancelled, and the Endangered Species Act must be strengthened.
Instead of weakening protections for species at risk, biodiversity should be safeguarded. Indigenous rights should be respected, and local communities should benefit from the ecosystem services that nature freely provides.
