I oppose this bill. In the middle of a documented and indisputable climate crisis that is already threatening habitats in every part of Ontario, we should have stronger, not weaker environmental protections. Species are endangered precisely because of unregulated development and unfettered corporate greed that demands that we sacrifice everything to profit. I am opposed to shortcuts for industry with no public oversight and I oppose overriding the law in special economic zones. None of this is in the best interest of Ontarians - it is designed exclusively to benefit the wealthy.
