2. Special Economic Zones: Imagine areas exempt from existing laws, where development can proceed unchecked. This could mean the end of vital protections for endangered species and indigenous rights.
3. Endangered Species Act at Risk: Ontario was a pioneer in protecting endangered species . Now, there's talk of dismantling these hard-won protections. The Blandings Turtle and American Eel are just two examples of species that could suffer.
