I am against any changes to the Endangered Species Act. Protection of SAR is not 'red tape' and suggesting otherwise shows a complete lack of respect for the species that are at risk of going extinct because of human impacts. The Environmental Assessment process is already a rubber stamp for industry with all projects approved, and working to water down protection of SAR even more than the current inadequate protection to SAR and the environment is irresponsible and short sighted. This province is already behind and failing in environmental and species protections, let's not go backwards more and succumb to political pressure at the expense of species survival on this planet. I have spent my career working to protect SAR. Please don't erase the decades of work we have done with poor policy.
