I am concerned about the proposed changes to the endangered species act. Given that we live in a web of interconnected species, it seems callous to disregard certain species only because they are economically inconvenient at one point in time but in future may prove to be extremely costly. Many species are already struggling due to climate change and encroachment of habitat and I believe that disregard to protections is the wrong approach.
