I am devastated to hear about these potential changes. We need to be acting as responsible stewards of our environment; if we get distracted by easy profits and quick & dirty "solutions" we will only be worse off in the long run, not to mention all the people, plants, and animals, who will suffer now because of the laundry list of dangers that come with even well regulated extractive industries--let alone what will happen when these industries become even more unregulated due to Bill 5. These changes are cruel, overreaching, short-sighted, and financially idiotic, as the only people who will benefit will be the corporations that will be able to more easily exploit our communities. You can't make Ontario grow with policies that treat life like a commodity.
