This proposed legislation and amendments clearly guts protections for wildlife and habitats.
Sensible streamlining of approvals makes sense but none of this ensures maintaining a high level of protections for critical habitat or at risk species.
This is clearly another attempt by the Ford government to support lucrative development deals for his friends and cronies. There are ample ways to increase housing by deregulating zoning to accommodate more density. The push for single family detached housing is truly in no one’s best interest except for developers who buy up priceless green spaces to pave over it.
Please reject these legislative action. Best regards.
