As a life-long resident of Ontario, I vehemently and fundamentally oppose this proposal. The current approach to conservation is complicated and lengthy for a reason - if it was not, it would not be remotely as effective at conservation. The difficulty is the point, and the goal (conservation of at-risk species, many of which are endemic to our province) is far more important than the proposal to build more expediently. It is risky political posturing and ultimately will damage our environment in ways we may not be able to undo.
Please evaluate and find a more ecologically-responsible way of navigating and engaging with species at risk.
