It seems to me that the pressure to provide and build affordable housing comes above the protection and conservation of ecosystems, organisms and wildlife which rely on us for their survival and protection. Being allowed to register and start a project before all aspects of impact can be properly evaluated is very short sighted and negligent. You can’t put the horse back in the barn once the door is closed. Governments don’t care about the environment as much as building houses, paving over farmland, increasing mining for electric car batteries etc… but they will care when we have no clean water to drink, no locally grown food, and a broken ecosystem, and it will be too late … Haste makes waste. I am deeply saddened and concerned about these proposed changes.
