This is a short-sighted effort to allow developers to profit off of areas that are already in critical decline. We need the “red tape” to ensure that natural areas are maintained, as many of these habitats are natural barriers to ever increasing weather extremes. Wetlands are needed for flood mitigation, NATURAL forests are needed for carbon capture, lower temperatures and increased mental health throughout human populations. We need to maintain green space and water courses more than ever. DO NOT LET THIS CHANGE PROCEED.
