This is outrageous and irresponsible. In an era of heightened extinctions, of constant and proven evidence of global warming and knowing the effects of habitat loss, we should be doing what ever we can to protect lands that are important to native and migratory populations. I am sick of this government’s prioritizing business, being short sighted and ignoring long term consequences and responsibilities. It is especially galling when legitimate issues like accessible affordable housing and used to justify pushing through ill thought out policies that in no way actually solve anything for people who need housing, but rather line the pockets of greedy developers. I am sick of Ford and his government not understanding what being a public servant means. We need to take care of the land, the water, the water table and the life that ecosystems support, they support us too. It’s unacceptable to endanger or further endanger these systems and I firmly stand against it.
