I am NOT in favour of developing the protected Green Belt area.
We have made some progress in protecting areas that will ensure we have trees that contribute to better oxygen, forest, field and swamp land that will ensure local flora and fauna will not become extinct, and beautiful areas that Ontario residents can enjoy.
Time in nature promotes healthly living and improved mental wellness. Removing and decreasing natural areas are a detriment to our society.
We can not focus solely on $. All factors must be taken into consideration.
There are many ways to promote business and growth within cities near the Green Belt. We can built up, rather than out, invest in local, urban and town development, whilst protecting green lands.
I strongly say, "HANDS OFF THE GREENBELT", The Greenbelt is NOT open for business. We are once again getting lost in short term financial gains at the sake of long term damage.
I do not support Doug Ford's "open for business" plan.
