This bill allows governments to make decisions to harm endangered species wherever it pleases and undercuts the rights of Indigenous peoples and of communities. This is not okay. Scientists and Indigenous peoples not governments who are acting politically are best positioned to make decisions about protecting our environment. This bill is irresponsible and should not pass.
