I'm appalled at the news the government is planning to make the Cormorant a target for slaughter. When are we going to learn that wildlife was not put on this planet for humans to destroy? The latest report from the World Wildlife Fund states we've lost 60 percent of it already and that's just in the last few decades. Many scientists believe we are experiencing the sixth mass extinction. Is this to be this generation's legacy? We knew how much damage we were doing but still chose to keep doing it? If so, I, for one, am ashamed to be a part of it.
Please don't bow to special interest groups coming up with lame excuses for the decimation of other species. The inhabitants of the natural world were not put here for our entertainment, exploitation, oppression or consumption!
