Proposed business and economy-aiding legislation always seems to come at the cost of environmental protection. I am personally tired of seeing our natural spaces put at risk in the name of the almighty dollar. The environmental legislation we have had put in place exist in order to not only protect the few, key natural spaces we have left in Ontario, but also considers the health and wellbeing of Ontarians by way of flood protection, protection of water quality, and much more. A bill that promotes the potential bypass of important environmental legislation is very, very short sighted. Find a better way of growing businesses, without putting our natural world at risk for future generations.
