The proposal for cormorant hunting needs to be reassessed. It is a potential slaughter, not only of entire cormorant colonies but of other birds which nedt in the same vicinity such as herons. Fifty percent day ? Really? And then the carcasses are just going to be left to rot and contaminate waters. It sounds like something we might have done in the early days when entire species were wiped out such as passenger pigeons. I thought our civilization might have learned better by now.
