Bill 5 is a travesty that, if passed, will harm future generations in ways we can not imagine, however history shows us that damages will not be reversed for over hundreds of years.
Treaty rights can not be ignored.
This current government has a pattern of development which ignores scientists, environmentalists and long term economic impact. There is no situation in which we can ignore environmental protection and think this will not harm Ontario. We will impact water, species, farm land. This will only negatively impact our children and have associated financial costs to mitigate and/repair damage.
We know this. There is already areas within Ontario, Canada, the world at large that have been irreparably harmed through ignorance. We do not have that excuse. Thank you.
