I strongly oppose the removal of the environmental assessment requirements for the York1 waste disposal site project through the proposed Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act, 2025.

This act is a travesty for many reasons, one of which is the complete lack of respect shown for our environment and environmental protections. Thorough environmental assessments are necessary in order to avoid further damage to the environment. The Ford government seems to care more about putting money into the pockets of their friends instead of protecting life in Ontario.
