Have we learned nothing from our mistakes of the past which have led to the extinction of numerous species? Leave the beautiful cormorants alone. They cannot be eaten and simply shooting them and leaving them to rot is reminiscent of vast buffalo herds and massive flocks of passenger pigeons which were literally wiped out by wholesale slaughter. This proposal is unethical, unnecessary and unspeakably cruel. It makes me ashamed that my Province would even consider such a thing. I thought we were better than this. Please rescind this proposal.
