I object to the proposed amendments to the Endangered Species Act. The province has an obligation to protect habitat and species at risk, and there is no good economic argument to be made for developing crucial habitats. The government should be investing in existing infrastructure and industry rather than using the public's fear of economic downturn to push through legislation that will harm Ontario's biodiversity, and put Ontario's citizens at increased risk of flooding.
