No. This is a plan to subvert any number of longstanding policies and regulations.
This amounts to special exceptions for friends of the ruling party.
Let all proponents compete on a level playing field with disclosed criteria.
Second concern: the Act would identify which regulations, permits, processes, approvals, and similar requirements will be exempted, altered or continue to apply, where a special economic zone is designated. This seems to mean that quite a bit of leeway is given.
I disagree with giving politicians freedom to obey only the legislation they deem sufficient.
Due process is more important than economic growth and development.
