Intrinsic values don’t always align with economic values but one should not negate the other. When considering ecology and our place in it requires thinking in a different perspective. Our lessons do demonstrate that nature can bounce back and be persistent but endangered species and ecosystems are something else entirely. Use the knowledge from Indigenous people and the insights gained from ecological research to make decisions about our environment and please don’t pretend that theses things don’t matter, because they do!
