I do not understand how Doug Ford can condemn the actions of Donald Trump, then turn around and present Bill 5 and the eradication of protection for endangered species. It eradicates protection for all species, in fact.
This is the act of someone who in truth aspires to be exactly like Donald Trump.

This is frightening.
I am heartbroken at the disaster that will ensue.
This action should be illegal.
It is a power grab that ignores the well being of Ontarians.
Humans cannot survive on this planet if we continue to destroy the environment.
Every species is important to the ecosystem.

Why do you not understand that even the smallest insect is crucial to our survival?
This action - to protect only the interests of developers - will lead to more serious consequences from climate change.
We need to protect our wetlands and figure out how to survive severe weather, not take actions that make survival more difficult.
How many more people will lose everything to floods because of Doug Ford?

This is the cruelest piece of legislation I can recall.
It is based on outdated thinking, like most of what this government has proposed and implemented.
Doug Ford governs like it is 1970.
Why does he want to leave such an awful legacy of destruction and corruption?

No average Ontarian will benefit from this legislation. It is detrimental to all of us.
It is not about improving the economy.
It is about quickly approving ill advised developments before anyone can object. It is about filling the wallets of those who donate to Ford’s campaigns and get him elected.
It is about killing everything deemed to be an impediment to the aspirations of authoritarians.

It is a repeat of the Greenbelt scandal and I am appalled and incredibly angry at the suffering and death this will cause.
How can anyone be so selfish and cruel?
