I am totally opposed to this proposal. I do not believe that cormorants should be designated as a game species. The proposal establishes a limit on the number of cormorants that anyone with a small game license can kill that is much too high. And it is unconscionable to allow the carcasses to spoil.
This proposal, if enacted, could lead to the destruction of many cormorant colonies, and possibly the ultimate loss of yet another species. There is no scientifically supported justification for this proposal.
