I don't support this proposal for the reasons below.
- the two 38 storey tall buildings do not fit into the adjacent context and have adverse impacts onto the adjacent areas, especially on the natural heritage rouge river creek right to the north and the low rise neighborhood in a very close proximity.
- the separation distance of 11 meters between the towers is not enough. It is too close and causes overlook and privacy issues.
- the 38 storeys tall buildings for senior living do not make any sense. Senior should live in an environment which is safe and has easy access to needed facilities. How can a senior especially a senior who needs assistance living in such a tall building exit/travel to the ground floor in case of fire alarm or emergency?
I urge the province to refuse this proposal, prioritize the liability of the senior living and respect the adjacent natural and environmental context.
