I am writing to formally oppose the proposed development of two 38-story high-rise towers at this location. As a concerned resident, I urge the city to reject this project due to its severe impacts on **safety, traffic, environmental sustainability, and quality of life** for our community. My key concerns include:

### **1. Safety Risks for Residents, Especially Seniors**
High-rise towers pose significant dangers in emergencies (fires, power outages, elevator failures). Elderly and disabled residents may be unable to evacuate quickly, as seen in tragedies like the Grenfell Tower fire. Has the developer provided:
- A **verified fire evacuation plan** for mobility-impaired residents?
- Guarantees that emergency responders can handle a 38-story crisis?

### **2. Unmanageable Traffic Congestion**
Adding thousands of new residents will overwhelm local roads, intersections, and public transit. Studies show high-rises generate **far more trips per unit** than mid-rise buildings. Without infrastructure upgrades, this will lead to:
- Gridlock during rush hours.
- Delays for ambulances, fire trucks, and school buses.
- Dangerous conditions for pedestrians and cyclists.

### **3. Environmental Harm**
- **Shadow & Wind Effects**: Twin towers will cast long shadows, block sunlight, and create wind tunnels, degrading public spaces.
- **Strain on Resources**: Water, sewage, and electricity systems must be evaluated for added demand.
- **Loss of Green Space**: Is the developer replacing lost natural areas?
