Hello,
Please do not grant the application to use water at the three pits that Walker Pits is applying for near Hanover.
The watershed of the Saugeen is a resource that belongs to everyone. Anyone who has access to the Saugeen downriver from the proposed pits will see major changes to the quality and quantity of the water. The natural environment will suffer, as well as the people who live beside the Saugeen and depend on it for multiple purposes: Farmers with their livestock, fishermen (and women), tourists, and people who depend on access to clean natural water to mention a few.
For those reasons, I object to any further gravel pit development next to the Saugeen River which change the nature of the water in the river.
Thank you for your consideration.
