Just because a few people 'feel' the cormorants are a problem does not justify opening this bird to hunting. There needs to be scientific studies completed to support any change. Look at the impact hunting wolves had on the ecosystem and how it rebounded when the wolves were reintroduced. Don't make rash decisions; the present Ontario government has made many of them in the very short time they have been in power. It is going to take a long time to repair the damage they have already done to our environment.
