Hello I would not like the zoning changed. The area is already zoned as Urban Area and zoned DE/S-65 (Low Density Multiple Dwellings District) in City of Hamilton Zoning By-law No 6593 and the which fills the neighborhood quite a bit.
The elementary school close by has the classrooms over stuffed. I cant imagine where all these children from the new dwellings will go to school.
There are issues with parking on every street if you dont have a personal parking spot with the hospital, downtown and bayfront park close by. Minimum vehicular and bicycle parking requirements, would make the neighborhood more complicated for home owners and tenants. (Having to seach for parking at night, famlies with groceries...)
Maximum building heights, and minimum amenity area requirements Would not benifit the neighborhood as you will be taking away the view of our neighborhoods beautiful bayfront park and water. Something our neighborhood takes pride in as well as taking away the sunshine from many backyards of families.
The zoning should stay the same. Thank you for your time.
