The current city council has a record of skirting zoning bylaws, not consulting with area residents, and abusing strong mayor powers. On the other side of the CN rail tracks the city recently opened up an outdoor shelter on contaminated land. They never consulted with residents or CN Rail and used commercial zoning to push the project through at a huge cost overrun. I fear this council is playing the same game with the Jamesville project and will abandoned area residents concerns and complaints once they red tape from CN rail and the province is gone. Yes we need this area developed but with strict guidelines to keep city hall in line
