This Jamesville affordable housing project in Hamilton, ON. needs to go ahead asap, these buildings have been sitting on this property for years decaying while people need homes. It's an eyesore in the community, dangerous and a waste on land in downtown that could be a vibrant area.
The affordable housing crisis in Hamilton, Ontario and Canada needs a serious injection of funding and production fast. There also needs to be much more geared to income housing built, Canada is far behind in its commitment to the right to housing and compared to the UK which has a large percentage of geared to income housing we are tragically lacking.
Hamilton Centre would benefit a great deal by this project being completed.
