This initiative is absolutely critical. For an area that could attract young families because of its proximity to the water and bayfront park, Janesville is currently a post-apocalyptic looking area that people are afraid to walk by. Creating new homes for a multitude of income levels can only benefit our downtown core. Proximity to west harbour go will attract professionals working outside of the city. The small businesses in the area could survive generating economic cash flow. The fact that this has been sitting empty for years during a housing crisis is embarrassing. Let’s get to work!
