Hamilton needs affordable housing during this housing crisis, there is simply no denying this fact. The streets of the north end bear the pain of those suffering from homelessness, and residents all across Hamilton are facing steep rents and cost of living increases. The fact that this massive plot of land near a flourishing commercial and residential neighbourhood has remained empty for so long is a disgrace and is a blight upon CN rail. These OLT appeals have prevented the revitalization of a neighbourhood that could bring hundreds of Hamilton residents affordable housing.
